Fishing Memories

The youngest of nine children, Millie, was only two when she developed symptoms of neuroblastoma. Despite treatment, the tumor continued to grow. It was challenging to decide on a safe and enjoyable experience with treatment ongoing until Millie asked to go fishing as they passed the Canadian River. We talked with Millie about her experience and made plans for the family to go out with professional fishers on multiple boats. Many of her supporters were present to give her a fun send-off. After the fishing trip ended, everyone went out for pizza.

This one last times the family would be together before Millie passed. It was an important day for everyone, as Millie’s mom, Courtney, explains.

At the Mack Impact, we strive to give each child a fantastic experience and support their family. Find out more about our organization, and contact us with any questions.
